~ Ralph, moments before destroying the diet cola mountain and intending to sacrifice himself to save the arcade from Turbo. |
Wreck-It Ralph is the titular main protagonist of the Wreck-It Ralph duology. He is the bad guy of his arcade game, Fix-It Felix Jr. that is fed up of his lonely lifestyle in the dump, so he sets out to earn a medal in another game, Heroes Duty in order to prove that he can be a good guy to the Nicelanders. However, after meeting an outcast by the name of Vanellope Von Schweetz and realizing how important his role is as the bad guy, Ralph comes to accept being the bad guy of his game and reformed from his selfish goal.
He is voiced by John C. Reilly.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- He is the most admirable character in the duology, due to defeating Turbo, saving the arcade from him and the other Cy-Bugs, saving his game from being unplugged, returning Sugar Rush to its former glory and also saving the internet from Ralphzilla, which puts his scale on a multiversal level.
- He is the series most powerful hero too, thanks to his superhuman level physicality, strength and endurance, being able to kill Cy-Bugs and other monsters with only his hands easily and being strong enough to destroy the entire diet cola mountain with only his fists alone.
- He holds a very high level of influence over the series, being responsible for the events of the first film and the second film, while also being the main character to stop the villains in both films. He is also responsible for Vanellope being able to be in Sugar Rush normally again and the citizens regaining their memories, due to allowing her to reset the game by participating in the random roster race after breaking her out of Turbo's imprisonment.
- Despite having corrupting factors during both films such as selfishness and wrathfulness, he has shedded almost all of them by the ending of the second film and showed immense remorse for unleashing Arthur on Slaughter Race and tried his best to right his wrong, showing he is a truly noble hero in spite of his recklessness.
- While he does play the role of a villain in his own game, this does not make him any less noble as he has no choice but to play that role as it's the only way to keep his game from being unplugged.
