Wander is the titular main protagonist of the Disney Channel animated show Wander Over Yonder. He is an overly-optimistic intergalactic explorer. He travels across the universe with his trusty steed and sidekick Sylvia, helping to spread happiness and freedom along the way, as well as thwart the nefarious conquest of Lord Hater. His creator, Craig McCracken, described Wander as a nomadic, hippie, peace-loving, muppet man.
He is voiced by Jack McBrayer.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- He has a lot of resources, due to having a magic hat that can conjure up anything Wander needs at any time (though not necessarily what he wants).
- He's easily one of the most influential characters on to the show, due to his desire to spread joy and happiness across the galaxy, and help out various beings in need. He even reformed a number of villains both before and during the course of the series, such as Major Threat, Westley (one of Lord Hater's watchdogs), Destructor, The Black Cube of Darkness and Something The So-And-So. Considering he's eons old, it's entirely possible he's helped more people and reformed more villains.
- Despite acting like a total goofball and seeming immature, he's actually a lot smarter and more clever than he lets on as he nearly always manages to outwit the villains he faces without even trying, while still seeming like a fool. Though he does occasionally drop the act.
- By the time Season 2 rolled around, Wander had committed so many selfless and heroic acts and aided so many beings across the galaxy, he had earned the moniker "The Hero of Legend".
