Twilight Sparkle is the main protagonist of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She was a female unicorn who later became an alicorn at the end of Season 3, and was Princess Celestia's personal student and later successor. She is also the Princess of Friendship, leader of the Mane Six, and the former Element of Magic.
She is voiced by Tara Strong, who also voiced Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls and Timmy Turner from The Fairly Oddparents, while her singing voice is done by Rebecca Shoichet.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- She is one of the most intelligent characters in the show as she is very knowledgeable about friendship and magic and usually finds ways to defeat the villains she and her friends faced.
- She has a strong influence as she reformed several villains including Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, and Tempest Shadow. However in G5, her influence has continued through Sunny Starscout.
- She is shown to be immensely powerful, being an alicorn and a former bearer of the Elements of Harmony. With the magic of friendship, she and her friends can stop even the most powerful and dangerous villains. In the following seasons including the IDW comics, she becomes multiversal protection because she is able to travel from reality to reality and timeline to timeline, whose status it is to maintain the balance throughout the multiverse through heightened abilities in sensing dangerous threats that may destabilize whole dimensions and neutralizing them.
- She is very admirable as she's the leader of the Mane Six and they together defeated every major villain in the show. She's also their voice of reason.
- While she had several corrupting qualities most notably being a jerk, all of these were subverted, and she became a Pure Good hero.

- She fits a description of TUG moral scaling from her voice actress Tara Strong, with her being PG, Bubbles being NPG and Timmy Turner being IA.
