The Ultimate Goods of The Legend of Zelda (Era of the Wilds).

The Legend of Zelda (Era of the Wilds) is a trilogy of games that includes The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and the spinoff Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. It is actually a sub series of the popular video game franchise The Legend of Zelda, however its canonicity with the other games is too loose, so it is considered separate to the mainline games. The trilogy includes a lot of noble heroes, but none are as powerful, admirable and influential as King Rauru and Princess Zelda.

Plot[]

The plot of the series is set in the kingdom of Hyrule, a kingdom eternally plagued by the Calamity Ganon, an incarnation of malice and hatred coming directly from the Demon King sealed under the castle, who tried to take over the kingdom by exterminating its inhabitants and populating it with his monsters; this cycle of reincarnation caused an incalculable number of victims. The main character, Link, has to explore the kingdom to find out what happened in the past, destroy the evil forces and save Princess Zelda.

Close Contenders for The Ultimate Good[]

Link[]

Link

Link is the main protagonist of the series and the hero of Hyrule. He is among the most noble characters of the series, as he’s always ready to risk his own life to protect Zelda and the kingdom, and he almost died by the guardians to save the princess. He’s also very powerful, as he was chosen by the Master Sword and he’s the one who ultimately defeated Calamity Ganon and Ganondorf. He has also a good knowledge of Sheikah and Zonai technogies, as he used the Seikah Slate and Rauru’s arm. He proves his qualities even in the spinoff, as he faces the four blights and Astor alone to protect Zelda.

That said, he’s guided by Zelda for likely the entirety of the series, meaning that he falls short in terms of influence to her.

Mineru[]

Mineru

Mineru is Rauru’s older sister and the Sage of Spirit. She has the power to transfer her spirit out of her body, allowing her to stay for basically infinite time as a spirit in some technological construction, such as constructs. She takes part at the Imprisoning War, where her body is consumed by Ganondorf, and later she awaits inside the Purah Pad for the right moment to help Link. She later uses her spirit to possess a giant construct and help Link in his quest, telling him the truth about Zelda’s decision and the Master Sword’s location. She also takes part at the final battle with Ganondorf and assists Link along with the other sages. She is also influential as she is the one who tells Zelda about the draconification.

However, she still falls short in terms of influence to Rauru and Zelda, whose action have a much bigger influence over the story.

Terrako[]

Terrako

He is a major character in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. He traveled back in time, making the events of the spinoff possible. Even during the plot, he had a massive influence as he told the exact day when the Calamity would awaken, and he brought back in time the future champions ancestors in order to save the present champions from the blights. He’s also skilled in combat and he was able to defeat Mutated Ganon in the Guardian of Remembrance DLC. He’s also very heroic as he sacrifices himself to undo Calamity Ganon’s invulnerability.

However, he’s built by Zelda, meaning that his actions are an extent of her influence. Additionally, he doesn’t have any influence over the main timeline.

King Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule[]

Rhoam

He’s the last king of Hyrule and Zelda’s father. He is the one who ordered to unearth the guardians and the Divine Beasts in order to stop the Calamity. He also guided Link for a short period on the Great Plateau after the hero reawakened. He also guided his soldiers in battle by himself in the spinoff.

However, he falls short in terms of admirability and influence to the likes of her daughter, Rauru and Link, who had many more heroic moments and a bigger part in the story.

Queen Sonia[]

Sonia

She is the first queen of Hyrule, wife of Raurunand founded Hyrule alongside her husband. She has the power of time and she is the one who taught Zelda how to use the recall ability. She also did her best to help Zelda to return to her current timeline.

However, she falls short to other characters due to her being killed off early by Ganondorf.
