The Ultimate Good of The Amazing World of Gumball.
The Amazing World of Gumball is an animated television series created by Ben Bocquelet, which began airing in 2011 on Cartoon Network. While there are a number of characters that stand out as exceptionally powerful and admirable, none of them are as consistent as Carrie Krueger.
Plot[]
The show follows the misadventures of Gumball Watterson, a 12-year-old blue cat, and his adopted brother/best friend Darwin, a goldfish who grew legs and became part of the family. They live in the quirky and surreal town of Elmore, California with their family: their responsible yet short-tempered mother Nicole (also a blue cat), their oblivious but loving father Richard (a pink rabbit), and their precocious younger sister Anais (a pink rabbit like her father).
The show follows their daily shenanigans at Elmore Jr. High and around the town itself, where literally anything can be alive - from objects like trees and rocks to food items and abstract concepts. The two main characters are usually well-meaning but learn valuable lessons through their misguided schemes.
Close Contenders for the Ultimate Good[]
Alan Keane[]

One of the series' supporting characters, Alan Keane is easily one of the most admirable, powerful, and influential characters, as he is quite literally the beacon of all positivity in the world at all times - as seen in "The Faith," in his despair, the entire world begins to lose color and the loss of his charitable deeds cause major problems around Elmore, including a hole being burnt in the ozone layer. He is also mildly symbolic as he embodies goodness at its core.
However, he is outclassed, as in "The Vision," he has a villainous role where he conspires to take over the entire world and imprison sad people into "happy camps," which is too corrupting and makes him somewhat On & Off - the possibility of it being non-canon is unconfirmed as well, leaving his morality ambiguous, and it appears in the main series regardless where most episodes are self-contained.
Gumball and Darwin Watterson[]

The series main protagonist, Gumball has done many admirable deeds, including restoring Alan's positivity in "The Faith," stopping a toxic gas outbreak at the Rainbow Factory in "The Factory," and even risking his life to save his arch-nemesis Rob from the Void purely out of his good heart. He has also defeated many villains in the series. Like Darwin, he is powerful due to his Toon Force which allows him to survive dangerous predicaments and exhibit supernatural powers, along with agility and occasional athleticism.
The series deuteragonist, Darwin has a strong sense of integrity and is and among the most admirable characters in the series, as he stopped Bobert from committing genocide on all of humanity in "The Loophole" and helped Alan cheer up and restore the world's positivity in "The Faith." He is also quite powerful due to his agility, fish-like abilities and strong Toon Force, which allows him to transform shape and even withstand events like the Big Bang without a scratch.
However, neither of them meet the criteria. Darwin is too reckless, mischievous and even outright insane at times to the point where he is On & Off. Some examples include becoming a hegemonic dictator in "The Safety" or assisting Gumball in his many ill-advised schemes.
Speaking of which, Gumball fails the admirable standards to Carrie and Darwin in addition to being an anti-hero, egotistical, and a massive jerk, and he is On & Off to the point where he is heinous. He orchestrated the brutal murders of Anton 50 times in a row in "The Recipe" and endangered the entire universe on two separate occasions; "The Money" and "The Scam."
Nicole Watterson and Anais[]

One of the series' tritagonists, Anais has done admirable deeds like coming up with the plan to stop the Evil Turtle and her children from ravaging Elmore by getting them to the river in "The Nest", which saved the entire town of Elmore. She also possesses some toon abilities and is the most intelligent out of all the Watterson family.
Also one of the series' tritagonists, Nicole has prevented her husband Richard from destroying the entire universe due to his employment and was crucial in driving the Evil Turtle away from Elmore to save the town. She arguably possesses the most extraordinary abilities out of her entire family, as she is extremely athletic, skilled in martial arts, and has supernatural abilities like demonic transformation, fire abilities, seismically snapping her fingers, and even soul snatching.
Unfortunately, Anais is On & Off like the rest of her family and is capable of villainous deeds, such as trying to get the rival copycats to kill themselves in "The Copycats" or helping destroy Elmore in "The Nuisance."
Similarly, Nicole has On & Off roles in "The Limit," where she ferally chases after her family in the supermarket, and is generally an anti-hero due to her having uncontrollable anger issues and frequently harming people or causing chaos. They also fail in influence since Carrie, Darwin, Alan and other characters have more active role in the overall story.
Richard Watterson[]

One of the series' tritagonists, Richard is the patriarch of the Watterson family, and despite his cluelessness, he genuinely cares about them. He has been heroic on occasion, as he saved Gumball and Darwin's live from a car crusher and rescued them from being transported to another country. He also possesses unique powers in the series and is among the series' strongest in terms of supernatural abilities, as he can destroy all of reality simply by being employed, possesses the ability to induce the Joy virus with his "WonderHug," and also has Toon Force and superhuman stamina.
However, Richard fails the admirable standards to all of his family members and the other contenders, meaning he cannot stand out as the Ultimate Good. Similar to the other Wattersons, he is also On & Off and has been extremely reckless in several episodes.
Larry Needlemeyer[]

A supporting character in the series, Larry Needlemeyer is a virtually resourceful character who's ability to work every job in Elmore sustains its economy at all times, even in episodes he doesn't appear in. In "The Pizza," it's shown that when he quits, society devolves into anarchy and complete disorder. He is also shown to somehow be working multiple jobs in Elmore at once due to his cartoonish nigh omnipresence. This makes him one of the most powerful and influential characters in the series. He is generally respectful to his customers and in "The Pizza," he agrees to return to his jobs after the Wattersons apologize to him, showing that he is noble and values helping people when he is not pushed to his limit.
However, maintaining the economy is nonetheless a side effect of Larry's desperate circumstances and need for employment, as it is shown several times that he works to sustain himself, contrasting the other contenders who act more altruistically. Larry is also known to get irritable at times and even endangered the universe in "The Job" and almost locked all of Elmore in a fate worse than death in "The Stars" for petty reasons, even passing the heinous standards as a result.
Rob[]

The series' main antagonist, Rob is admirable as he has revived/rejuvenated the lives of six people on a single occasion in "The Rerun" through time travel, which is a unique act in the series, and even ended up destroying the Universal Remote despite it giving him the control he wanted, as it was simply too dangerous. He also tries to save everyone from the Void when it begins destroying the world - both acts are given more gravity and influence than most, especially the latter as it was foreshadowed as early as Season 3, is implicitly the series' climactic event, and Rob's attempt to help spans 2 episodes. He is also among the most powerful characters due to his intelligence, metafictional awareness, and sometimes gaining control over powerful artifacts like the Remote or Banana Barbara's equipped paintbrush that can alter the future.
However, Rob is primarily portrayed as a villain in the series and does not subvert his numerous corrupting factors by this end. His attempt to save everyone was also extreme in methods, and he's less powerful than all of the other contenders in his base form despite his intelligence, as he relies on outside tools to give him power.
