The Ultimate Goods of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Sonic the Hedgehog is a franchise of video games created by Sega of Japan with the intention of competing with gaming's juggernaut at the time, Super Mario. While the series is no stranger to having admirable heroes, none quite reach the same level of power, influence, and admirability as Sonic the Hedgehog himself, and Crane.
Plot[]
The plot of the series revolves around a speedy blue hedgehog fittingly named Sonic going on a wide array of adventures, most of them revolving around saving the world from the evil forces of Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik.
Close Contenders for the Ultimate Good[]
Miles "Tails" Prower[]

He is one of Sonic's most consistent and active allies and one of the most admirable and noble. With him always being at Sonic's side and playing a major part in he other's success, with no real corrupting qualities to speak of. He's also got a decent amount of influence thanks to all the times he has played a key part in Sonic's success as a hero.
Where Tails ultimately falls short however is overall admirability and influence. As he mostly plays the role of Sonic's right-hand rather than pulling off any of his own feats, he also lacks Sonic's influence over the plot for largely the same reason.
Knuckles the Echidna[]

He manages to be one of the most admirable and noble heroes even despite his grouchiness and arrogance, with him being one of Sonic's most consistent allies and managing to have a decent amount of influence over the plot thanks to him being one of the main figure heads behind the backstory of the echidnas and the fact that he is the guardian of the Master Emerald, keeping it out of harm's way.
Where Knuckles falls short however is in admirability and influence, as Sonic has pulled off many more admirable feats than he has, with Knuckles mostly assisting in them, and his influence only really goes as far as the lore of the echidnas, which is rather small compared to characters such as Sonic and Crane, who have influence over the whole franchise.
Shadow the Hedgehog[]

One of the series' most admirable heroes and arguably one of its most influential. With him pulling many individual feats that often time save the world and even teaming up with Sonic and Silver in order to stop Solaris from destroying time and space, easily making him one of the most admirable characters in the series. He also has a decent amount of influence, as he served as a large bulk of the reason behind some of the Dreamcast-era games, as well as other entries such as Sonic 06, and Sonic Forces.
Where Shadow falls short however is in nobility. As he is generally an anti-hero and pulls off acts that land him straight in the grey zone, making him too inconsistent for The Ultimate Good.
Silver the Hedgehog[]

He is one of the series' most admirable and noble characters. With him constantly coming to the aid of the heroes whenever something comes that threatens the stability of the future, he's also easily one of the series' most admirable with how he played a crucial role in stopping Solaris from destroying all of space and time as well as playing a big part in stopping the Zombots within the IDW Comics.
Where Silver falls short however is overall influence, as due to the fact that he makes very few appearances within the series, he doesn't have much influence over the narrative, especially when in comparison to characters like Sonic and Crane.
Blaze the Cat[]
Tikal the Echidna[]

She is one of the noblest characters and has a decent amount of influence to boot. With her sealing Chaos within the Master Emerald for several decades, leading to the events of the first Sonic Adventure, as well as being the one to bring him to peace at the end of the game.
However, outside of that, Tikal has very little influence over the overarching plot of the series, and she also fumbles majorly when it comes to admirability in comparison to characters such as Sonic and Crane.
Chip/Light Gaia[]

He is a godlike being who proves to be incredibly noble with how even when his memories return, he still willingly went out of his way to try and save the world from his dark counterpart. He also has a decent amount of influence as he is the reason light exists at all and he speaks of guiding the world to its rebirth every thousands of years, stopping Dark Gaia from destroying it.
Outside of that however, Chip ultimately lacks the admirability and overall franchise influence as his best feat consists of simply saving the world, and outside of Unleashed, has no real impact on the narrative at large.
