Skipper is a major character in the Madagascar franchise. He is a major character in the first film, Escape to Africa and Europe's Most Wanted, and one of the four titular main protagonists of The Penguins of Madagascar and its spin-off film of the same name. He is the leader of the penguins and the oldest of the group.
He is voiced by Tom McGrath.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Thanks to having decades of experience in the military and fighting, he's a master combatant. Such feats include him beating a gorilla in an arm-wrestling match with little to no effort, defeating a crazed kangaroo, and claiming to have stopped an angry walrus with his flipper and nothing else in the past. He and the other penguins even managed to fully incapacitate Chantal DuBois' henchmen by hitting the pressure points on their necks.
- He's a master of stealth. He successfully snuck into a human safari camp to steal supplies from them, broke into Fort Knox with no trouble, and escaped a trap by replacing himself with Julian before anyone could notice.
- He has supernatural stamina, once having survived without food or water for weeks, all the while showing no signs of exhaustion whatsoever.
- After fighting off Dave's minions, he activated the villain's ray which was now fueled by Private's cuteness, thus restoring all of the mutated penguins back to normal and saving them from being exterminated. This action easily makes him one of (if not the) most admirable characters in the franchise.
- Even though he is an anti-hero with jerkish and reckless tendencies, none of this is too preventing as he is still admirable through his various actions.
