Princess Zelda Hyrule is the titular deuteragonist of the “Era of the Wilds” saga within Nintendo‘s The Legend of Zelda franchise.
She is the latest chronological incarnation of Zelda in the timeline, now serving as the Princess of the kingdom of Hyrule. She has been through many hardships, including being destined as the reincarnation of Hylia, her struggles with accessing her sacred power, dealing with an overbearing father, and the stress of the disasters at stake.
She is voiced by Yū Shimamura and Patricia Summerset in the Japanese and English versions of the games.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- She is among the most admirable characters in the series, as she risks her own life to protect her kingdom multiple times, such as when she faced Calamity Ganon and kept it inside the castle. She ultimately sacrificed her own soul and mind in order to restore the Master Sword and help Link to destroy Ganondorf. In the spinoff Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity she constantly helps her soldiers in deadly battles, even though her royal position.
- As a princess, she has shown great care of her people, as she mixed herself with common people and ha done her best to help them. In response, everyone in Hyrule admires her and recognize her as a fantastic princess.
- She is among the most powerful heroes in the series, as she could seal Calamity Ganon inside Hyrule Castle for a whole century and come out completely unharmed. Her light power is so big that can deactivate an horde of guardians and even Ganon's blights. She also possesses the power of time, and she can use the recall ability pretty well.
- She is the most influential character in the series, equaled by Rauru, as she guides Link after he awakens a century after the Great Calamity. She indirectly guides the hero even as the Light Dragon, as she leaves her tears in order to make Link aware of the events of the past. While she was in the past, she warned Mineru and the other sages about Ganondorf breaking out of his seal, making sure that they will inform the present sage and help Link. She has influence over the spinoff timeline too, as she built Terrako, making the time travel possible.
