Primus is the overarching protagonist of the Transformers franchise. He is the Cybertronian God of Order and brother of his archenemy, the Cybertronian God of Chaos Unicron, upon having been subdivided from him. He then noticies how corrupt his brother is, especially after the destruction of the old realms, Primus restarts creation again as he takes up the task to lay down the groundwork to ensure Unicron can stop posing a threat to existence itself.
His presence exists throughout the Transformers multiverse, but in some more than others. In some universes, he is not visibly present or mentioned, however one thing that is ever present across all the Transformers universes is the presence of the AllSpark or the Matrix, the core essence of Primus himself which in every universe is the source of Cybertronian life.
He was voiced by Ron Halder in Transformers: Energon and Michael Donovan in Transformers: Cybertron.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Like how Unicron is the most ancient force of evil in history, Primus is the most ancient force of good in history, having been present before the dawn of the new reality itself.
- Upon noticing how corrupt his brother is, especially after he ravaged the old realms beyond repair, Primus takes up the task to stop the threat Unicron poses to creation itself, becoming the most admirable character in the franchise's history.
- He is the very creator of the new multiverse where all Transformers stories take place in.
- Like what Unicron used to be, Primus too was once a multiversal singularity and thus can have his influence spread beyond space and time. Unlike Unicorn, who can only be in one dimension at will, Primus can exist as the core of Cybertron in all realities simultaneously.
- Is the very creator of the Transformer race, having created them upon becoming the planet Cybertron so they help him thwart the threat Unicron poses and take over his role upon his sacrifice.
