Perry the Platypus, codenamed Agent P, is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Candace Flynn) of the Phineas and Ferb franchise. He is Phineas Flynn, Ferb Fletcher, and Candace Flynn's pet platypus. His owners, however, don't know that he works as a secret agent for Organization Without A Cool Acronym (O.W.C.A.) to stop his arch-nemesis, Heinz Doofenshmirtz from his multitude of evil plans.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- He is one of the most admirable character in the franchise, being able to compete with Candace Flynn, who saved Earth twice and even the entire universe in the Phineas and Ferb series finale, but considering Doofenshmirtz's plan in She's the Mayor endangered the universe, he is still able to compete with her combined with the many times he saved the Tri-State Area from him and other threats.
- With O.W.C.A. by his side, he has access to a ton of weapons, gadgets, and disguises to get him out of Doofenshmirtz's traps or help him defeat other villains. He is also a master in hand-to-hand combat and swimming, and is very agile, acrobatic, and stealthy. As a result, he is one of the most powerful heroes in the franchise despite not possessing extraordinary abilities that most of the other main characters (besides Candace and Kevin) have.
- He's one of the most intelligent characters in the franchise, as while Phineas, Ferb, and Doofenshmirtz have created wonderful things in the past due to their prowess in engineering, Milo Murphy has Extreme Hereditary Murphy's Law which sometimes works in his favor and a backpack that relies on hammerspace, and Hamster and Gretel have superpowers given to them by aliens, he is able to outsmart almost the entire cast of the original Phineas and Ferb series so that they don't discover his secret identity.
- He is the most influential hero in the entire franchise, because as shown in Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo, if he fails to stop a plan from Doofenshmirtz, then Candace can succeed at busting Phineas and Ferb. Not only that, but Doofenshmirtz may turn the Tri-State Area into a dystopia that bans time travel, meaning none of the three shows would happen.
- In Milo Murphy's Law, the Second Pistachion Takeover led by King Pistachion's son Derek would have succeeded had it not been for Perry the Platypus saving Doofenshmirtz from falling off of a glider that was hit with a rock by Derek by grappling to the nearby roller coaster at the Pistachion-controlled Lard World, as future Heinz Doofenshmirtz (Professor Time) traveled back in time after reading Orton Mahlson's memoir and killed Derek before the Second Pistachion Takeover even began in 1955 by squirting the environmentally unfriendly Wyatt Burp Orange Soda onto him, thus restoring the present timeline besides Bradley Nicholson's right Pistachion arm.
