Nick Ramos is the main protagonist of Dead Rising 3. He is a seemingly normal survivor at first, but after getting infected and being healed of it, he is later revealed to be immune to the virus due to an experiment that Carlito Keyes had performed on him when he was a kid, meaning he contains the cure for the zombie virus in order to end the outbreaks that had been plaguing America for the past 15 years.
He was voiced by Andrew Lawrence.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- He is the most admirable character out of the entire franchise, as he saved the entire planet from being conquered by General Hemlock, who wanted to cause outbreaks all over the world in order to keep it in a state of martial law, and he brought the cure for the zombie infection that plagued America for 15 years which resulted in millions of people being able to live a normal life again, including two main characters in the form of Chuck Greene's daughter Katey Greene and the main protagonist of the series, Frank West. Other notable acts involve saving over 100 people all over Los Perdidos, defeating Albert Contiello and preventing him from torturing 4 people to death and harvesting the organs of anymore survivors, saving 2 people from being raped and tortured to death by Dylan Fuentes and he is personally heroic for saving the lives of his allies repeatedly and allowing Chuck and Katey to have stress and guilt free lives again thanks to Nick allowing a cure to be made.
- He has a good level of influence on the series, as he is the only human on Earth who has an immunity to the infection, due to Carlito Keyes making him immune so that a vaccine could eventually be found in the future once he felt that America had been punished enough for the destruction of Santa Cabeza. This would eventually make him responsible for many people being able to have a normal life again, due to Isabela Keyes creating the vaccine to the virus using his blood and leading to the series main protagonist, Frank West and Chuck Greene's daughter, Katey Greene both being cured of infection after over a decade and many others too. Him deciding to give Brad Park a Zombrex dose also leads to the events of The Last Agent, where Park managed to save a bunch of people and escape the city with evidence of Hemlock and Marian Mallon's misdeeds.
- He is very intelligent, being able to create numerous weapons and modified vehicles that would be impossible for real life in battle with limited resources and has extensive knowledge on mechanics thanks to his job as a mechanic before the outbreak happened. He also knows all of the weak points on his enemies to make them easier to kill and he can drive any vehicle he gets his hands on expertly despite having no prior experience with them.
- He is shown to be quite powerful, being able to kill zombies bare handed effortlessly and take on highly trained Special Ops soldiers despite having no previous combat experience himself. He can also make multiple powerful combo weapons and vehicles throughout the game by finding blueprints and is strong enough to take Hemlock in a 1 v 1 despite Hemlock being much more experienced then him. He also managed to defeat Albert Contiello while drugged with hallucinogenics and having all of the odds against him.
- He is very noble and selfless, always putting other peoples lives before his own and risking his life numerous times throughout the game to help others, even deciding against ditching all of his allies to be killed so he can escape because he knows it's morally the wrong thing to do. While he is vengeful and lethal, this only extends to the villains he faces and he never feels like this towards people who don't deserve it.
