Montgomery "Monty" Wigglestein Uno is the overarching protagonist of the 2002 Cartoon Network animated series Codename: Kids Next Door
He is the father of Numbuh 1 who, according to the film Operation: Z.E.R.O., is revealed to be Numbuh 0, the founder of the modern age of the KND Organization (the 7th Age of the KND). He is also the older son of Grandfather, as well as the older brother of Father and the adoptive uncle of the Delightful Children From Down The Lane.
He is voiced by Frank Welker as an adult and Dave Wittenberg as a child.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- As the founder of the modern iteration of the Kids Next Door Organization, he is the most influential, admirable, and defensive character in the entire series as his resistance against Grandfather ensured that the world and all of its children would be free as well as the preservation of the Book of KND to inspire others. His actions would go on to influence the KND as a whole including his son Nigel Uno (Numbuh One). When Grandfather arose again, he would make sure that the Book of KND would be kept safe and bought enough time for the two of them to be decommissioned.
- He is the most selfless and noble character as a man willing to risk his life to save others beyond just himself and his family. This selflessness extends to wanting to redeem Father and the Delightful Children From Down The Lane despite their hostility to the KND.
- While not the strongest KND Operative, he is nonetheless an intelligent strategist and analyst whose work was instrumental for the KND and was able to hold off Grandfather for a while to protect the Book of KND, even as the aging process took a toll on him. This also allowed Sector V to drop the KND Moonbase on Earth and decommission Grandfather for good ensuring the world is safe from his tyranny once again.
