Merlok 2.0 is the overarching protagonist of the Nexo Knights franchise. He is the last remaining wizard in the kingdom of Knighton, and the mentor of Nexo Knights, providing them with advice and magic spells for fighting Monstrox's evil forces.
He was voiced by Brian Drummond.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Merlok has been protecting Knighton since before the series' events, having defeated both Monstrox and the Wizards' Council members corrupted by Forbidden Powers and imprisoned the former.
- Even after he's turned into a hologram, he continues to protect his realm by supporting Nexo Knights with his magic, as well as helpful advice.
- He is a very skilled wizard, only rivaled in magic abilities by a select few individuals, namely Clay Moorington, Monstrox and Fletcher Bowman.
- His assistance ultimately proves crucial for the Nexo Knights to defeat Monstrox and save the kingdom.
- He is easily among the most noble and selfless heroes in the franchise. His kills are done either in self-defense or as a last resort, with him expressing no sadism and feeling remorseful if he has to hurt his loved ones. He also subverts his corrupting qualities, such as arrogance, very early in the series, and his fits of temper are limited to heating-up periods.
- In spite of him having comedic moments, his heroism is still treated seriously.
