Lucinia Porter is the overarching protagonist of the Meta Runner franchise.
She used to be part of TAS Corp's Meta Runners with her girlfriend, Belle Fontiere. She was also an assistant to Dr. Sheridan in developing Project Blue before the lab accidentally blew up. She is also known to be the older sister of Sofia Porter.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Although she has very little screen time, Lucinia has a massive influence on the overall plot. Her supposed death is in fact the catalyst behind the creation of MD-5 and the events leading to the series's plot. She also serves directly in helping Theo and Tari out of precarious situations that may pop up in the virtual world. The finality of Lucinia's influence is how her survival and sacrifice force the story to head toward some critical plot points, such as the downfall of TASCorp and the sacrifice of Tari himself.
- She is a rather selfless and kind-hearted person, mostly putting other people's needs above her own. She is considerate and supportive of her friends and sister, especially Tari, for whom she sacrifices her digital consciousness to help. Even though she plays a small role in the series, through all the key events, she makes the right decisions, thereby making her stand out as one of the paragons of moral integrity in the series.
- Although Lucinia is not physically strong, her existence in digital space grants her an edge in terms of control and power over the virtual world. She amplifies Tari's abilities, and the final self-sacrifice in the digital world to save Tari's memory shows how determined and powerful she is in some sense.
- She serves as a moral and emotional anchor to the entire Meta Runner series. Her sweet nature and self-sacrificing tendencies make her one of the noblest characters within the show. While she may not get that much screen time, what actions she did drastically affected the whole plot.
