Jun Himeya is one of two deuteragonists (alongside Ren Senjyu) of Ultraman Nexus. He is a former war-specialized photo journalist who inherited the Light and become the second Deunamist of Ultraman Nexus after the light left Maki. Being a Deunamist with the most screen time and deliver a message "the light is a bond" to Komon, he is responsible for delivering the show main theme of bond and overall philospphy of the light passing throught person to person.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Jun Himeya is easily the most wise character in the show since he encourage Komon to stand up whenever he stuck in despair and he warns him not to easily driven by hatred when dealing with everything that harmed him. He is also deliver a saying "the light is a bond and someone who inherited it will shine again" to Komon, meaning he is telling the true nature of light to him.
- Before becoming a Deunamist, Jun is a photographer specialized in war and he dedicated himself to save anyone in danger, with this, Jun is dedicating himself in saving an orphan named Sera and he nurtured her while acting as her father/brother figure.
- After becoming a Deunamist and recieving light, despite his thinking that his power is a punishment for him not being able to save Sera, Jun still fights Space Beasts even if it kills him.
- In episode 24, Jun finally understood the meaning of him being chosen to wield the light and he stops Dark Mephisto/Shinya Mizorogi from causing more harms to the world. After he defeated Mizorogi, Jun nurture Komon about the true meaning of light that it is a bond and it will shine if it inherited by someone.
