Markus Sebastian "Mark" Grayson, also known as Invincible, is the titular main protagonist of the Image Comics series Invincible.
He is a member of the Grayson family with father being Nolan Grayson, also known as Omni-Man, and his mother being Debbie Grayson. Mark Grayson strives to be just like his father in becoming a great heroic protector for Earth, but is eventually revealed that his father, Omni-Man, and the Viltrumite species are instead universal conquerors. Rather than follow his father's footsteps, Invincible defies him and the Viltrumite species to save the universe from the enslavement or genocide of the Viltrumites.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Throughout the series, Invincible slowly grows stronger through every battle he has survived and been in. At the start of the series, Invincible barely stood a chance against his father, Omni-Man and the encounters against Viltrumites. However, Invincible eventually becomes stronger than Omni-Man to the point that Invincible has succeeded in killing Conquest and Thragg, who are considered to be the strongest Viltrumites.
- He is easily one of the most admirable characters in the entire series as he is responsible for numerous heroic deeds from redeeming his father Omni-Man to protecting the Earth from evil versions of himself and his role in the defeat of Thragg.
- Although he has a couple of corrupting factors such as lethality and jerkishness, they are minor when compared to Invincible's heroism and admirability.
