Son Goku (born Kakarot) is the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball franchise.

In Japanese, he is voiced by Masako Nozawa in the Japanese version of the anime, by the late Kirby Morrow in the Ocean English dub, and by Sean Schemmel in the Funimation English dub. He is also voiced by Seth Green, Hugh Davidson, Jeffrey Watson, Dave Bridges, Ian James Corlett, Peter Kelamis, David Gasman, Steve Blum, Nesty Calvo Ramirez, Jeremiah Yurk, Yuri Lowenthal, Richard Ian Cox, and Lex Lang.

Action and Characteristics

• He is the most admirable character in the franchise, as he saves the entire universe from Kid Buu's destruction and keeps it from being erased in the Tournament of Power. He often spares his enemies, such as Piccolo and Vegeta, which led them to seek opportunities to do good. He only kills his opponents if they refuse to change their ways or learn from their mistakes.
• He is the most influential character, as many people around him, including Piccolo and Vegeta, change for the better as a result of him seeing the good in everyone. After defeating Kid Buu with the Spirit Bomb, he turns Majin Buu to the side of Good. He also makes allies out of Beerus and Zeno, who can destroy countless planets and universes respectively. If it wasn't for Goku's influence, Beerus would destroy Earth without hesitation or mercy and Zeno wouldn't feel remorseful about destroying the other universes after Universe 7 won the Tournament of Power.
• He is also one of the strongest and most powerful characters, as he underwent the Super Saiyan form before Vegeta due to his rage against Frieza for killing Krillin. After transforming into a Super Saiyan God for the first time, with the power of seven Saiyans, and achieving Super Saiyan Blue, he manages to master the rare power of Ultra Instinct after falling inside his Spirit Bomb and channeling it with his ki, which is something not even Beerus or Zeno can achieve even if they do train.
• Despite never having a formal education, Goku is shown to be a skilled martial artist and is proficient in using ki, even as a kid. He is an expert in battle strategies as he consistently studies his opponents to figure out their weaknesses. Furthermore, he is capable of being insightful and giving wise advice to younger fighters such as his sons Gohan and Goten. He even decides to become a mentor to Uub to train him in martial arts and he is shown to be a great teacher to him as shown in Dragon Ball GT.
