The Ultimate Good Wiki

Flint Lockwood is the main protagonist of the Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs franchise. He is an optimistic inventor that wants to improve his town of Swallow Falls by creating the FLDSMDFR to give them better food to eat rather then just sardines and creates inventions to help make people's lives easier.

He is voiced by Max Neuwirth as a child and Bill Hader as a young adult.

Actions and Characteristics[]

  • From a young age, Flint has worked to create inventions to help improve everyone else's lives. Even if most of these inventions ended up causing more problems then they fixed, he improved them as he got older to the point where he created useful machines that benefitted humanity like the FLDSMDFR which gave everyone the food they wanted just with microwave radiation.
  • He is the most admirable hero in the series, improving people's lives with the FLDSMDFR, saving the world from being destroyed by it and defeating Chester V, which prevented his genocide on the sapient Foodimals and saved his friends from being grinded into food bars.
  • He is the most influential hero in the series, being the creator of the FLDSMDFR which lead to the creation of the Foodimals, plus being the main reason why the events of the second film happen because of Chester wanting the FLDSMDFR for himself and manipulating Lockwood for it.
  • While he lacks physical strength, he makes up for it with his intelligence as he able to create many impressive machines with very limited resources, even being able to do so since he was a kid.
  • He is the good version of the ultimate evil of the series, Chester V. While Flint was willing to make friends with others, Chester considered having friends a weakness, which ended up being his downfall due to his terrible treatment of his assistant Barb causing her to decide to betray him, while Flint went on to live a good life with the others due to his selfless actions of risking his life to save his friends. While he used to be arrogant and stubborn, he would eventually shed these corrupting factors over time.
