Dmitri Cimber is a major protagonist in The First Purge and the overarching protagonist for the rest of the series. He is an ex drug lord that was previously the most powerful one on Staten Island, but decides to change for the better when the NFFA start murdering everyone in his neighbourhood during the Purge, going as far as to kill several of their members to protect innocent people and founding the Anti-Purge Resistance to keep people safe as long as the Purge is continuing.
He was portrayed by Y'Ian Noel.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- He is one of the series most heroic and admirable characters due to him being the one to found the Anti-Purge Resistance, which is the main heroic organization over the series that keeps people safe on Purge Night all across America, making him responsible for millions of lives being saved across the series and indirectly leading to the end of the Purge due to Dante Bishop and his allies helping Charlie Roan survive the night and abolish the Purge.
- He is incredibly influential due to him founding the Anti-Purge Resistance, which makes him responsible for almost all of the heroism that comes later on in the series and his actions would indirectly lead to the end of the Purge due to Dante Bishop and the rest of his own Anti-Purge Resistance unit helping Charlie survive the night and become president to ultimately abolish the Purge, the first time for 8 years and the second time, indefinitely.
- He is one of the series most powerful characters due to him having the resources to be able to create a nationwide counter terrorist organization to protect the innocent and having access to an armory of weapons and other equipment due to his past connections when he was a drug lord. He is also a one-man army that can single handedly take on multiple thugs with little effort in both armed combat and unarmed combat.
- He is incredibly intelligent with him being able to correctly deduce that the NFFA were the ones that hired mercenaries and racist terrorist groups to kill people during the Purge to raise the death toll and being able to plan long term, short term and simply use skilled hand-to-hand combat tactics if he is ever caught off guard as shown when he single handedly fights off three mercenaries when he is ambushed by them in a stairwell.
- Despite being a lethal anti-hero, this does not take away from his heroism as he often targets villainous people who had it coming regardless and he even goes out of his way to protect innocent people rather then killing them, deciding to redeem himself and change for the better when he realized that himself and his gang were the only hope people had to survive the experiment upon being put under siege by the NFFA, with the narrative even painting him as a hero by the end of the movie that saved everyone.
