The Predecessor

The Ultimate Good character that appears in a story where there is a successor, Class D character, that is also The Ultimate Good. These characters either appear in two ways: as a protector from the past that does not have any active role in the plot of the present-day story or a character that appears in the present-day storyline. These characters have a heroic legacy that another hero is either inspired or motivated by to do good in the setting.
