Carrie Krueger is a supporting character in the animated Cartoon Network series The Amazing World of Gumball. She is a ghost who attends Elmore Jr. High and is proficient in supernatural matters. Carrie is close friends with Gumball and Darwin; the latter eventually becomes her boyfriend. She was born to a mortal man named Vladus Lokowitchki and his ghost lover, whom he met in a mirror.
She is voiced by Jessica MacDonald.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- She is among the most admirable characters in the series as she was willing to sacrifice herself to marry Gargaroth in order to prevent him from destroying the entire world in "The Scam." She also freed her father from an eternal curse and rescued Gumball's family from his grasp in "The Mirror," exorcised the Jealousy out of Gumball in "The Flower," and in "Halloween," she tries to help Gumball and Darwin save themselves and their sister from becoming ghosts forever or being sent to the Underworld by helping them retrieve their bodies.
- She is among the more influential characters in the series due to her personal and evolving relationship with Darwin and being one of the most significant supporting characters, as she has the joint fourth most major roles for a character who is not a member of the Watterson family.
- She is one of the most powerful characters as she is highly intelligent and knowledgable in the supernatural, can traverse to the underworld, open portals, cast spells, possess bodies, move objects with her mind, move through solid objects, among other ghostly powers.
- While she borders on anti-hero due to her jerkish, mischievous, and sometimes selfish behavior, she is ultimately noble as it is never enough to make her on & off (unlike the Wattersons) and her alignment is good at all times - most of the characters have inconsistencies in their behavior and so hers does not stand out enough. She also subverts her single antagonistic role in "The Ghost."
