Buckminster, or just Buck, is a major character in Blue Sky's Ice Age film series. He is a major character in Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and Ice Age: Collision Course, a cameo character in Ice Age: Continental Drift, and the titular protagonist of his spin-off film The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild.
He is voiced by Simon Pegg.

- He is the most admirable character, since he has been a protector of the Lost World. He also saved Sid from falling into his death in Lava Falls, protected the herd from Rudy and created the idea of saving Earth from a dangerous meteorite.
- He is the most influential character, as he is the leader of a group of animals to protect the Lost World and keep it in harmony. He also gained countless allies, including his enemies such as Gavin, Gertle and Roger, to stop the meteorite from crashing the Earth.
- While Buck is known for being rather insane, he is one of the most skillful characters, as he has proficient acrobatic skills and swordsmanship. Given his lifestyle as an adventurer, he is quite knowledgeable about the world, going as far as to uncover a prophecy about a meteorite crashing Earth.
