Asura is the main protagonist as well as the titular character of the action beat 'em up video game Asura's Wrath.
He is voiced by Liam O'Brien in the English version, and Hiroki Yasumoto in the Japanese version.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Asura is the most powerful character in the entire game as while he is killed several times throughout the story, he eventually becomes strong enough to defeat the Shinkoku Army, the Gohma, and later the TUE Chakravartin, thanks to his strength, durability, willpower, and the Mantra of Wrath.
- Asura is defensive as he does his best to protect innocent people and his allies from the various threats in the story including his time as one of the Eight Guardian Generals.
- And finally, Asura is the most admirable and selfless character. Despite being a very wrathful and lethal berserker with jerkish tendencies, he still has a sense of justice throughout his revenge, and his wrath is mainly his righteous reaction to the heinous actions committed by Chakravartin and every other villain. After his daughter Mithra tells him that the death of Chakravartin would lead to his death as well, Asura still chooses to sacrifice himself to defeat the god, freeing the universe from his manipulation and allowing humanity to usher into a golden age.
