Ash Ketchum is the main protagonist of the Pokémon: The Series.
He is voiced by Rica Matsumoto in Japanese and was originally voiced by Veronica Taylor in the 4Kids English version in the first 8 seasons (between Seasons 1 and 8) and is currently voiced by Sarah Natochenny in the TPCi English version as of Season 9 after the latter passed her role.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Ash Ketchum is the most powerful hero. While Ash Ketchum has been infamously defeated in some Pokémon battles, including most regional Pokémon Leagues, the sheer number of his Pokémon and the fighting capability of his Pokémon are enough to demonstrate his power. Despite being controversial out of universe, Ash Ketchum does become the new Monarch and World Champion of the Pokémon World Coronation Series, a tournament held to determine the strongest Trainer in the world.
- Ash Ketchum is the most defensive hero. Ash Ketchum has stopped local threats, regional threats, global threats, and even universal threats many times due to him being the main protagonist of the long-running series.
- Despite Ash Ketchum has some corrupting qualities such as being arrogant and being a jerk, he is still admirable enough to be a TUG because he is willing to sacrifice himself for others multiple times. Ash Ketchum has technically inspired some people, such as Serena and Professor Kukui.
