Anne Savisa Boonchuy is the main protagonist of Disney Channel animated series Amphibia. She's 13-years old Thai-American girl, who got transported to a titular land by a relic known as Calamity Box.
She was voiced by Brenda Song.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- While she started out as an anti-hero with several corrupting qualities, not only most of this happened because of Sasha's and Marcy's toxic influence, but she managed to subvert them all by the series finale. Anne herself admits, that while she made many dumb mistakes in the past, she's willing to make up and learn from them, not to mention she's also willing to forgive others.
- While not having leadership skills like Sasha, or high intelligence like Marcy, this gets compensated by her pure heart, being able to help and protect those others in need, and even admitted, that Amphibia, the other dimensional world, became her second home.
- Despite Wartwood treated her coldly, she became disgusted with Toad Army's harsh methods of taxing them and chose to stand up for them. Later on, she would be rewarded as Frog of the Year and tried her best to throw huge party in return, even if it failed at first.
- Passed all challanges at the Second Temple, by:
- Saving Marcy from a giant cardinal, by tosing her catterpillar coat in the abyss.
- When she thought someone inside a nearby house would be crushed by avalance, she quickly rushed to help.
- Saved Valeriana from falling to her death, despite the latter attacking and calling her out for everything bad she did in the past. Once Anne saved her, she admited she's willing to face punishment for that and learn from this.
- When she though Plantars and Marcy were in dangers, she chose not to recharge the Blue Gem completely and rushed to save them. While worries were for nothing, the recharged gem would end up benefical for Anne not once.
- By not recharging Blue Gem completely, she unlocked her Calamity Power (albeit, incomplete), that she used wisely to protect others. While at first, she couldn't control them properly, she managed to get full control over them.
- She stopped King Andrias and The Core from conquering the whole multiverse and in the finale, willingly sacrificed her life to kill The Core, when it attempted to destroy Amphibia out of spite for being defeated. While it's left unclear if the Guardian resurrected her through "backup", even it proclaimed Anne to be great next Guardian of the multiverse, due to be the only one to use Calamity Gems for selfless purpose.
