Angelise Ikaruga Misurugi is one of the two main protagonist of the 2014 anime TV series Cross Ange: Rondo of Angels and Dragons (alongside Tusk).
Angelise is the first princess of Misurugi Empire. As a princess, Angelise is well loved by all in her nation. However, on her 16th birthday, her brother exposed her as a Norma and she is sent to Arzenal. While in Arzenal, Angelise adopted the identity of Ange as her new identity to battle DRAGONS. Ange, who is forced to battle DRAGONS, vows to kill and survive.
She is voiced by Nana Mizuki in Japanese and Emily Neves in English.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Angelise is the most influental and defensive character in the entire series, as after she become the commander in chief of Arzenal, she leads the last Libertus mission to save the multiverse from Lord Embryo's destructive plan of merging two Earths for his plan to create his own "ideal" world.
- True to what is mentioned above, Angelise as a Norma has the ability to perfectly pilot Vilkiss and she alongside her comrades Hilda, Salamandinay, Salia, and Tusk successfuly defeated and killed Embryo for good. Thus, she is not only responsible for canceling Embryo's world merger plan and saving countless lives but also preventing two entire universes from being destroyed.
- Despite her lethality, anger issues, arrogance, and occasional xenophobia, Angelise is a selfless and strong-willed individual as while she is hated by the world of Mana, she is nonetheless willing to fight and sacrifice herself to protect the world even with the cost of being discriminated as a Norma.
